Who are we looking for?
Indigenous men and women with a demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of people within Victoria's Indigenous communities are eligible to apply for the Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership. Interested parties are invited to nominate themselves or someone else for the Fellowship.
The next Fellow will be an exceptional person who has already achieved a great deal in both the Indigenous and broader community. Demonstrating practical action and sustainable results, along with sharing of skills and experience with others, will be the most important legacy of each Fellowship recipient.
How will the Fellow be selected?
A Selection Panel will shortlist the nominations, based on how applicants meet the Selection Criteria (see below). Shortlisted candidates are then given the opportunity to meet with the Selection Panel so that the panelists can learn more about the applicants' vision for the future and how they would use the Fellowship to make a difference in the Indigenous community.
The Selection Panel then makes its recommendation to the Advisory Committee of the Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership who is responsible for the final decision.
